FARIHA

Fariha is a short film directed by Negine Sekandari about her grandmother, Fariha, recounting her memories of Afghanistan with Negine.

As per Negine’s director statement: It serves as a moving photograph, a beautiful depiction of Fariha and the moments from her life that she’s proud of and brings her the most joy.

We originally premiered Fariha in 2022 at Jamyat Film Festival at Highland Theatres in Los Angeles. The film is a selection of the 2024 MENA Film Festival in Vancouver.
